Around the Globe Piano Music Festival in November 2017 We would like to welcome you to AGPMF 2017 that will take place at the Study Society, Colet House, Talgarth Road, London W14 9DA on Sunday, 19th November 2017 from 10am till late. Around the Globe Piano Music Festival (AGPMF) is a piano competition open to Junior and Adult pianists of different levels, both amateur and professional. As well as traditional and classical music, the festival offers an exclusive syllabus on contemporary music within global/regional categories as well as jazz piano. The popularity and performing standards of this competition have risen considerably due to its unique focus, educational and performing values including the highly praised adjudicators’ written and spoken assessment after each performance. We are very proud of our journey over the last decade looking back to the first Serbian Week in Great Britain held in Leeds and London in 2008. What started with a few events in 2008 has grown from year to year becoming Serbian Month and reaching thirty-eight impressive events held in nine towns this year. Serbian Month was initiated by three organisations (Serbian Council of Great Britain, Serbian City Club and Serbian Society) and over time caught the imagination of over twenty organisations, numerous individuals, and the Serbian government, who joined this celebration of Serbian culture, heritage and the contribution it makes to British society. As result Serbian Month is viewed as the biggest Serbian festival of its kind worldwide. This is a great achievement of the Serbian Diaspora in Britain and serves as proof of our creativity and our ability to work together for the good of the community. The meeting will take place at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, 28 Belgrave Square, Belgravia, London SW1X 8QB on Tuesday 12th February 2019. The Annual General Meeting will begin at6pm and the guest speakers at the event will be Nataša Milićević – Dobrominov, Director Azbukum Centre and Biljana Novković-Adžaip, Azbukum Centre who will talk about the work of the Azbukum Centre in Serbia, which has taught Serbian as a foreign language since 1995 and whose courses have been accredited by the Serbian government and are recognised in Europe and beyond.
